Tanking Systems
Tanking applies a waterproof barrier directly to a structure's walls and floor: an appropriate solution in some below-ground situations, and the wrong one in others.
When tanking is (and isn't) the right answer
Tanking works by creating a continuous waterproof membrane against the structure, holding water pressure back rather than managing water that gets through. It suits certain ground conditions and structural types well, but in others (particularly where there's a risk of trapping moisture within masonry) a cavity drainage system is more appropriate. That's assessed on a case-by-case basis, not applied by default.

Water ingress confirmed through survey to need a barrier solution
