Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026 (draft)
These are structural draft terms and conditions, laid out the way a UK trades/services business's terms are usually organised, with content filled in only where we can state it accurately today. They must be reviewed and completed by a solicitor before publication. Several sections that carry real legal weight (cancellation rights, guarantees, liability and insurance) are still missing and are not shown below rather than filled with invented wording; each is noted afterward.
1. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply when you engage DAMPCORE (Springfield Mills, Bagley Lane, Leeds, LS28 5LY) to carry out a survey, inspection or remedial works at a property. Our registered company name and number will be added here once confirmed.
2. Surveys and quotations
A damp survey provides findings and, where appropriate, a recommendation based on the evidence available on the day of inspection.
3. Complaints
See our Complaints page.
4. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Sections still to be added
The following sections need solicitor input and real business detail before they can be published, so they've been left out rather than filled with placeholder wording: booking and cancellation terms; terms covering remedial work (site access, variations, payment); any guarantee offered on remedial work, its length and how to claim under it; public liability insurance and liability limitation wording; and the statutory 14-day cancellation right that applies to work agreed away from DAMPCORE's business premises (Consumer Contracts Regulations).
