FAQs
Frequently asked questions
How much does a damp survey cost?
Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the property. Get in touch or book online and we'll confirm a price before your survey is arranged.
Do you offer free quotes for remedial work?
Remedial work is quoted following a survey, once the cause has been established, so the quote matches the work actually needed rather than an assumed cause.
How long does a typical damp survey take?
Most residential damp surveys take one to two hours on site, depending on the size of the property and the number of areas affected.
Do you cover areas outside Leeds?
Yes, we cover the wider Yorkshire region including Harrogate, York, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax and Wetherby. Call us if you're unsure whether your address is within reach.
Will I be pressured to book work I don't need?
No. Our surveys are structured to establish the cause first, and any recommendation that follows is something you can take away and consider in your own time.
Do you provide written reports?
Yes, every survey is followed by a written report setting out what was found, the likely cause, and any recommended next steps.
What areas of damp and timber do you cover?
Rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation, mould, timber decay (dry rot, wet rot, woodworm) and structural waterproofing for basements and cellars.
